Delivery Information

To ensure you receive your cake fresh, all of our orders are delivered next day. That means you can have your cake and eat it too all within 24hrs!

Packaging

Every cake is delivered in a strong corrugated cardboard box to ensure your cake is safe when received. We pack the corrugated box with protective brackets and foam. The cake will also be wrapped with strong clear acetate paper to help keep all frosting in place. The parcel will include ice packs as our cakes are sent frozen to retain the freshness and quality of the cake. Being frozen also improves the presentation of the cake when delivered. You will only need to defrost the cake for 3-4 hours and it is ready to eat. You do not need to refrigerate our cakes, they can all be left out for up to 7 days and they will be perfect to eat but we do recommend keeping them covered and suggest our cakes are best when they’re enjoyed within 5 days… If they aren’t devoured before then!

You must follow the instructions for defrosting. 

Shipping policy

We deliver anywhere in mainland UK via Royal Mail 24hr tracked. This means we recommend you organise delivery to an address where someone will be there to sign for the cake. We will arrange a time for delivery by contacting you separately with a delivery confirmation. It is essential that you, or someone on your behalf, will be available to receive and sign for the goods at the delivery address on the agreed delivery date.

If nobody is at home between the 9-5 delivery window our couriers will leave your parcel in a suitable location or with a neighbour. We are not responsible if goods are stolen or neighbour does not provide your goods as someone should be available to sign for the package.

If someone at the delivery address other than you signs for the goods, we and Royal Mail are entitled to assume that person is authorised to do so. If no one is at the delivery address when delivery is attempted then the following arrangements will operate, for the order containing frozen perishable goods:

  • If the goods are frozen, they will be taken back by our courier and we will be unable to arrange a further delivery because of their perishable nature. In addition, since the goods cannot be resold, and since we will have incurred a delivery charge, we will be entitled to retain in full the price of the goods debited from your payment card;

If the goods are not perishable, they will be taken back by our driver and we will contact you to arrange a further delivery. We will not make any additional charge for this further delivery.

All orders are usually delivered on a requested delivery date. However, factors that are out of our control such as extreme weather conditions and vehicle issues, and other circumstances out of our control, the delivery could get delayed, but we will do our upmost to keep you informed on the delivery of your cake! If re-delivery is required, we will contact you directly on the contact information you have provided.

Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, with packaging intact, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return enquiry, you can contact us at info@joeyssweettreats.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a confirmation email with a shipping label attached, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted. Please note that we do not cover the cost for the return.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, heavily damaged or if you receive the wrong item. We will be in touch as soon as possible to resolve any possible problems.


 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
We do not accept returns or refund requests for items that have been delivered in good condition, goods that have been received on time, or goods that have arrived correct to the order receipt/confirmation email provided.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your bank account.
